A New Beginning
When the clock struck twelve,
The mind begins to delve
Is it just the passing of numeral,
Or is it 2020 & it's problems' funeral
Ladies & Gentlemen it's 2021s premiere
It is a new beginning, it is a new year.
A year of hope & of enjoyment,
A year of health & of employment
Of all this happening the prospects are bright,
2020 went in darkness, may 2021 be the light
This will be an year that everyone will revere,
It is a new beginning, it is a new year
Spend this year doing creative tasks,
A day will come when people will not wear masks
You cannot go back and change the past,
But you can secure your future which will everlast
Better days will follow if to hard work you adhere,
It is a new beginning, it is a new year
This may not altogether be a surprise,
But 2020 was indeed a blessing in disguise
We learnt to enjoy every day; we learnt to be creative,
We understood the value of family & of each and every relative
For every aspect of life henceforth be sincere,
It is a new beginning, it is a new year
Overall; 2021 is an year of growth,
Lets together take this oath
"We will work hard & drive towards progress",
A peaceful & disease-free world will be our success
So lets hope for the best & live without fear,
It is a new beginning, it is a new year
